The Ducks won a Pac-10 game! Hooray now at least they won't match the Beaver's unenviable record of futility from last year.
I also thought I would mention in case you see any spelling errors in my posts, that the Blogger assumes I'm in Norway so I must be writing in Norwegian, so it flags ALL my words as being misspelled. Which is not really helpful.

The weather has turned to crap
Ick. We had 6 weeks of "nice" weather, meaning it stayed just below freezing, so that you could actually walk around with only minimal risk of killing yourself. Now it is just above freezing, so everything has turned to slush, wet slush, salty slush or just plain wet ice. I have given up trying to run on the sidewalks for now. So I just run early in the morning or later at night and go down the middle of the street where the ice has melted off from the traffic.
I have found a car that I might buy next week. I looked at it last week and it seems OK, so I'm going to have it inspected by a mechanic and then they will give me a report on all the things that might need to be fixed. It is a black 1996 Audi A6 station wagon with a diesel engine. It is a little bigger than my Audi in the U.S. but probably A LOT slower :). That's OK, I'll just learn to drive slower. It has a nice ski box on the top, so that should be good for taking some ski trips around with my friends Joel and Lief.

Why is this sign so funny?
I find this sign quite funny. This is the bottom of the hill coming out of the neighborhood where I live. So basically the only people coming down this hill are people who live in homes or apartments in this little area called "Persaunet". Narvik is 900km, 18 roundabouts, 1 ferry boat and 1 toll road away from Trondheim (according to Google maps). So on the 1 in a million chance that you happen to be driving from Persaunet to Narvik, and you get to the FIRST intersection 500 feet from your house and aren't sure which way to turn, hey, they've got you covered. Just hang a right and you'll be there in 13 hours.
