Let's see, take 2 French brothers with Norwegian names, a random American (me), a Swedish car with French registration, a snowstorm and a road trip from Trondheim to Oslo and that sounds like trouble. Actually it turned out quite well. Leif needed to have his brother drive the Saab back to France so that he wouldn't have to pay the incredible Norwegian import tax. So Leif and I just tagged along as far as Oslo and then flew back to Trondheim. We took the scenic route down the E6 highway between Trondheim and Oslo. We stopped overnight at a hotel near the Gålå ski resort on Saturday night and then drove the rest of the way to Oslo on Sunday. It was snowing continuously from Saturday afternoon until we were almost to Oslo, so that made the driving a little tricky in places, but the little Saab came through with flying colors. The scenery around the Lillehammer area was truly spectacular. Words fail me actually, I cannot adequately describe how beautiful some of the landscape is there. There are some more pictures on my picassa site, unfortunately it was hard to take pictures along the highway as it was snowing and there wasn't a lot of good places to stop the car, but you can take my word for it.
